Dive Team - Things to Know…
.Remember to check Carriage Club SwimTopia. This will be the place to look for calendar, events, etc.
.The dive chairs will send out a weekly email on Sunday nights. The weekly schedule, theme, and meet information will be included in this email.
.If your child will NOT be at the meet, please let the coaches know by Friday of the week before the meet.
.Your diver must bring their own towels to practice. The club does not provide towels for swimmers or divers during practice times.
.We ask that each family sign up for 2 volunteer shifts this season.
.What to bring to a dive meet: towels (or chamois), costume for the theme (if you want), snacks and dry clothes
.Meet arrival times: Home - 3:00pm Away - 3:30pm Meet Starts at 4:00pm
.How meets work… The meet starts with 8U boys. When they finish the 8U girls will compete. Next will be the 10U boys, then girls and so on…
.Your diver will be either an A, B or C diver. “A“ divers are the ones that earn points for the team ( there are 6 places per age group per gender). Each team in a tri meet will have 2 “A” divers, there will be 3 “A” divers/team/age/gender at a dual meet. We also have “B” divers and “C” divers. These divers will earn places and ribbons just not points for the team. Sometimes we will dive someone up - or in an older age group. This is to potentially earn the team more points.
.Once your diver competes, you are free to leave.
11. We have several young divers (8U); afternoon practice is optional for them as we realize they are young and really want this to be a fun experience for all.
